Andrea Fluzer is a Brazilian visual artist and Intensive Care physician based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. A lifelong draftswomam and a self‑taught painter, she has dedicated recent years to deepening her study of traditional figurative oil painting. Her work is strongly shaped by her medical experience, often exploring human fragility, resilience, and the silent emotional narratives revealed in moments of vulnerability. Portraiture and classical figurative painting remain her greatest artistic passions and challenges. In the ICU I witness extreme vulnerability and profound transformation—experiences that silently echo within each painting. In the studio, classical oil technique becomes a way to honour these stories, translating emotion into form, light, and gesture.
